Gene Kropp Services for Gene Kropp, 76, Canton were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 20 at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton with Pastor Bo Hart officiating. Burial was in Sand Flat Cemetery. Mr. Kropp died December 17, 2008 in Canton. He was born March 9, 1932 in Taylor to Edward Alouis and Alice Elizabeth Huser Kropp. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of Burnet. He lived in Burnet for 23 years. He graduated from Taylor High School and served in the US Army and in the National Guard. He had been an independent insurance salesman for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Kropp; daughters Gina Kay Haxton and Kim Renee Knowles. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sue Epperson Kropp, Canton; sons and daughters-in-law, Mitch and Linda Kropp, Waynesville, Ill., Troy Kropp, Hurst, and Robert and Stephanie Wynne, Canton; daughter, Staci Foster, San Antonio; grandchildren, Elisabeth Ekiss, and husband Michael, Gillian Grace Wynne, Danielle Faith Wynne, Zachery Foster and David, Haxton; great-granddaughter Michaela Ekiss; brother and sisters-in-law Jimmy and Carol Kropp, Austin, Maggie Glackburn, Arlington, and Billie Epperson, Plano; brother-in-law Bill Epperson, and wife Meryl, Grand Saline; many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Mike Epperson, Jim Wynne, Robert Wynne, Jimmy Shaw and Walter Dunn. Memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas or American Cancer Society.
