Pearline Phillips, 75, of Joshua and a homemaker, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, in Cleburne. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Union Hill Cemetery in Joshua. Lela Pearline Phillips was born March 6, 1932, in Johnson County to Isaac and Nobie Carlock Bransom. She married Alford R. "Pete" Phillips on Jan. 30, 1953, in Joshua. She enjoyed flea markets and cooking. She was a member of Union Hill Presbyterian Church in Joshua. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Leo Bransom. Survivors: Sons, Alan Phillips and wife, Kari, of Burleson and Henry Phillips of Joshua; sisters, Debra Harris of Joshua and Irene Barnes of Joshua; stepsister, Mary Logan of Fort Worth; grandsons, Austin and Dustin Phillips; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
