ST. FRANCIS -- Florence M. (Van Vleet) Moyer, 100, died Friday (Dec. 16, 2008) at Cheyenne County Hospital in St. Francis. She was born July 20, 1908, in Danbury. She married Orville Moyer. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville in 1988 and son, Dale Moyer in 1996. Survivors include her son, Doran Moyer of Brush, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at United Methodist Church in St. Francis. Burial will be in the Danbury/Marion Cemetery at 3 p.m. Visitation is today until 7 p.m., at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis. Memorials may be given to Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis, St. Francis Senior Center or the church. Knodel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
