Mrs. Buna Vesta Pruett, 78, of Farrar passed away December 18, 2008. Funeral services for Mrs. Pruett will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia. Brother Ray Grissett will officiate with interment to follow in Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 PM Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Pruett was born September 25, 1930 to Garland and Eva Smitherman in Buffalo, Texas. She devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her daughter, Sonja Pruett of Farrar; sons, Roy Garland Pruett and Daniel Pruett both of Farrar; grandchildren, Roy Todd Pruett, Kimberly Pruett, Eric Pruett and Dalton Pruett; 7 great-grandchildren brother, Frank Martin, Jr. of Buffalo; sister, Josie Price of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard Pruett. Pallbearers will be Wes Jenkins, Kenneth Copeland, Michael Grissett, Carl Grissett, James Robison and Joey Robison.
