Billy W. Reid Memorial services for Billy W. Reid, 64, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2008, at Beaty Funeral Home chapel in Mineola with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating. A graveside service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola. Mr. Reid passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008. Billy was born in Fate, Texas, on December 10, 1944, to the late Allen and Velma Reid. He served our country as a United States Navy Senior Chief for 28 years, and then later retired from the military. Mr. Reid returned back to Mineola in June 2001, where he was a member of the VFW. He is preceded in death by his loving parents; brother, Bobby Reid; sister, Marie Ferguson; son-in-law, Chris Seeton. Survivors include, two daughters, Michele Seeton, and Billie Jo Fowler, both of Mineola; best friends, Julie and Dr. John Lee, of Mineola; brother, John Reid of Alba; three sisters, Mary Hill of Mineola, Lois Wakefield of Midlothian, and Peggy Rodriguez, of New Orleans, La.; grandchildren, Ashlee Woodall, Kaitlyn Woodall, Jocelyn Whitehead, Lance Seeton, Brett Seeton, Alisha Seeton, Alex Seeton, Charlie Lee, and Max Lee; and several nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be, John Lee, Brant Lee, Joey Thorton, Michael Thornton, Jason Woodall, and Mark Fowler. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to, APET or Hospice of East Texas.
