Bio

Henry Tipton Airheart came to Texas in early manhood, settling in Cherokee County. Here he married Liza Jane Hogan . To this union six girls and one boy were born. Four of the children died in early childhood. One daughter, Mrs. Lillie Sanders died last August. Mrs. Airheart died 1 September 1916 after nearly 50 years of married life. Uncle Henry was a Christian in his belief and the morning of his passing, his baby daughter came for him. Services were held in the Methodist Church in Iredell conducted by Rev. Shannon and Rev. Lester. A large crowd followed the remains to the cemetery at Gordon where he was laid to rest by the side of his wife. Surviving are his two daughters - Miss Ada Airheart and Mrs. Emma Hubbard; two grandsons - H.T., Jr.,, and Wilburn Sanders; two great-grandchildren - Eva and Joseph Sanders.
