Jake Vance Mills ALLEN - Jakie Vance Mills, 71, of Allen died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 in Dallas. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina with Rev. Cliff Lester officiating. Surviving are his daughters, Terri Lovell of Grand Prairie and Karen Ghent of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; son, Michael Mills of McKinney; brothers, Jackie Mills of Holly Lake, Jerry Mills of Mead, Okla. and Larry Mills of Plano; sister, Linda Long of Richardson; and six grandchildren. Arrangements are by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in Allen. She was born on September 5, 1939 to Rufus Daniel and Idell Mavis (Cockrill) Odom in Sanger, Texas. Peggy graduated from Garland High School in the class of 1956. She married Jakie Mills and they were married for eighteen years [before] they divorced.
