Margaret Bright was born 2 May 1815, the daughter of John Andrew Bright and Lydia Hinkle. Margaret married John Morgan 24 Dec 1835 in Floyd County Indiana. They were the parents of 8 children: Richard George Morgan 1835-1912 Elizabeth Martha Morgan Thompson 1838-1873 John Bright Morgan 1840-1913 William Henry Morgan 1842-1926 Sarah Ann Morgan Tolson 1844- 1934 David Kimble Morgan 1847- 1926 Volney Edgar Morgan (Valentine) 1849 - 1935 Lydia Morgan Loughmiller 1852- 1906 In June of 1852 Margaret's husband John Morgan died. Leaving her with 8 children - Lydia just a few months old. Margaret Bright Morgan married Alanzo Brown 27 Jun 1857. They had 2 chidden. Theresa Brown 1854 -1860 Annette "Nettie" Brown 1859 - 1931. "History of Daviess County, Indiana" 1915 pg 422 the maternal grandparents of Mr. Loughmiller were John and Margaret A. (Bright) Morgan, natives of Louisville, Kentucky, and pioneers in Washinton county, where he died, his wife afterward coming to Daviess county with her children. She died in this county at the age of ninety years. They had eight children, Richard, Lizzie, John, William, Sarah, David K., Valentine E. and Lida. These children had one half-sister, Nettie. The grandmother married a second time, her last husband being a Mr. Brown."
