Bio
A memorial service for Josephine F. Glewwe will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing, with the Rev. Thomas Kommers officiating. Burial of the ashes will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Red Wing. Mrs. Glewwe, 80, of Red Wing, died Saturday (Nov. 29, 2008) at her home. Josephine Frances Pokorny was born Feb. 10, 1928, in St. Paul. She was a 1946 graduate of South St. Paul High School and attended St. Paul School of Art and Design. On Feb. 10, 1948, she married Richard Glewwe at St. Matthew's parish hall in St. Paul. In 1980 she and her husband moved to Red Wing, where she was a member of the Church of St. Joseph. Survivors include her husband; three sons, David (June), Dale (Dottie) and Don (Jodie); a daughter, Joyce DuBois; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, George (Betty) Pokorny, Ralph Pokorny and Robert Pokorny. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel of Red Wing is handling arrangements.
