Obituaries From The Frankston Citizen May 2002 May 2 Edition C.V. Hanks Funeral services for C.V. Hanks, 88, of Poynor were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with Elder Vernis Stanaland officiating. Burial was at the Poynor Cemetery with arrangements by Thompson Funeral Home. Mr. Hanks died Wednesday, April 24, in a Tyler hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1913 in Bastrop. Mr. Hanks was a self employed carpenter and foreman at Shiloh Ranch. He was a member of Tyler Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Leona Hanks of Poynor; a son, Charles Jimmy "Jim" Hanks of Poynor; daughters, Nancy Campbell and Vicky Ann Deal, both of Poynor; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; Pallbearers were Ben Haynes, Jacob Haynes, Eric Hanks, Jason Smith, Jeremy Burris and Joe Barrington.
