Graveside Services for Mr. Charles Ray Crabb, 81, of Oklahoma City, is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling. Ray was born to the late Mr. Thomas D. and Mrs. Willie Anne (Fields) Crabb July 30, 1927, at Ringling, Okla. He passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at Oklahoma City. Ray was raised in Claypool, graduating from Claypool High School. He married the former Waunell "Nell" Allen April 19, 1952, in Ardmore. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict serving honorably for two years. After his military service, he began working for Roadway Express as a truck driver, retiring from there at the age of 65. During his retirement he and Nell enjoyed spending time together at their lake house in Enos on Lake Texoma where Ray also enjoyed fishing. They attended the Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Ray was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Preceding him in death is his parents, and two brothers, Edgar and Elmer Crabb and 2 sisters He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nell Allen Crabb of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Orena (Edgar) Crabb, Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
