Victoria Advocate, The - (Sep/18/2005) Clarence Tolleson - PALACIOS September 18, 2005 PALACIOS - Clarence "Sam" Tolleson, 75, of Palacios, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005. He was born July 12, 1930, in Palacios, to the late Thomas Argyle and Lucy Ophelia Norris Tolleson. He retired from Alcoa and was a heavy crane operator overseas and at the South Texas Nuclear Project. He was in the Navy from 1948 to 1951, serving in the Korean War. Survivors: wife, Marlene Tolleson; daughters, Lisa Perez of Ganado and Kim Kieler of Wharton; stepdaughter, Sandy Williams of Blessing; son, Jeffrey Tolleson of Blessing; stepson, James Williams of Blessing; sisters, Bobbie Brune and Carolyn Mertz, both of Palacios; brother, Billy Tolleson of Camp Wood; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: sons, Sammy Tolleson and Vincent Tolleson. Following cremation, a memorial service will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Blessing Community Center. Memorials: the American Cancer Society.
