The youngest son of 4 boys born to John Thomas Haney and Emma Kate Daniel Haney. Graduated from Hardin-Simmons (Saudifer) University. Married Beatrice Lillian "Bea" Guimarin in Abilene Texas. (In Apr 11 1940 census, they were living on Sandifer University St, both working at the H-S University, he as an instructor, she as a secretary.) John Thomas III born in Abilene (1939-2006). They moved to El Paso, where twins Carlton Daniel and Charles Guimarin were born in 1944. While in El Paso, John was employed as the Registrar of College of Mines. They divorced in 1947.He moved to be near his son in Houston and then passed away in Baker, Louisiana. According to the Abilene Municipal Cemetery database, John T. Haney Jr. is buried in an unmarked grave. According to the Abilene Municipal Cemetery 4 members of the Haney family are buried in the I.O.O.F. section, Block 34, Lot 4; John T. Jr. is in space 2, John Bryan is in space 3, John T. Sr. is in space 9 and Emma Kate is in space 8. All but John T. Jr. have a headstone.
