Mathilda lost her father to tuberculosis just after her fourteenth birthday. She and Leroy married June 23, 1941 in Williamson County, TX. They had four children: 1. Leroy Brady Behrens 2. Teddy Randolph Behrens 3. Gary Lee Behrens 4. Jimmy Roy Behrens They were members of Palm Valley Lutheran Church, Round Rock, TX.
