Bio

James Carl Hanks was a veteran of the Korean War. He was disabled by a motor-vehicle accident while in the military, with no use of his legs and very limited use of his hands. Mr. Hanks never married. He lived in the Westbury Country Village Apartments in Houston, Texas, which had been converted into a facility for residents with physical disabilities. He was robbed and viciously attacked in his apartment and died a few days later in the Houston Veterans Hospital.
