Frank HawkinsOct. 10, 1924 - Oct. 31, 2015Frank Hawkins, 91, of Mount Calm, joined his Lord and Savior on October 31, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with the Rev. Bob Rainey officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Calm Old Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 2, at the funeral home.Frank was born in Hubbard, Texas, on October 10, 1924 to Bobbie Phillips and Enoch Munsey Hawkins. Frank was united in marriage to Janie Haralson Hawkins on January 28, 1945. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2005.Frank was a farmer and rancher all his life. Frank and Janie raised their two sons Bill and Jack on their farm in Mount Calm. Frank taught his two boys everything he knew about the farming and ranching business, and his two boys followed in his footsteps by working alongside Frank on Hawkins Farms as their full time careers.He always loved spending time with his family. Frank enjoyed hunting, reading, watching old westerns, telling stories and jokes, afternoons watching over his farm from his back porch, and driving around checking his crops and cows. Frank was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Calm, where he enjoyed spending his Sunday Mornings.Frank was an excellent father, husband, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, brother in-law, uncle, and a precious friend to many.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Bill Hawkins; three brothers, Clyde Hawkins, Ervin Hawkins, and Roy Hawkins.Survivors include his son, Jack Haralson Hawkins and wife, Donna, of Mount Calm; three grandchildren, Cherise Myatt and husband, Nick, of Waco, Shane Hawkins and his wife, Trina, of Mount Calm, and Josh Hawkins and his wife, Jessica, of Glen Rose; great-grandchildren, Jase Hawkins of Glen Rose and Halle Marie Hawkins of Mount Calm; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Frank will send his blessings from heaven to his third great-grandchild, Stella Jane Myatt, who is due to arrive this December.Pallbearers will be Mike Hawkins, Scotty Hawkins, Cody Hawkins, Steve Dunlap, Joe Dunlap and Larry Dunlap
