Bio
Darlene was born to Don and Bertha (Bergman) Buschbom. She married John Caldwell on Dec. 3, 1955, in Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and one half sister, Sharilyn D. Thomas. Surviving are her husband, John Caldwell of Peoria; four children, Jack (Sue) Caldwell of Germantown Hills, Jim Caldwell of Peoria, Jerry Caldwell of Peoria and Jill (Dean) Litherland of Tremont. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Courtney, Justin (Debbie), Matt (Jamie), Jacey (Arron), Carly, Catey, Rachel, Jeremy and Jerad; one brother, Bob Lancaster; one half brother, Rick Buschbom; and one half sister, Wendy (Mark) Wittekiend. Darlene worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 10 years, doing data entry until she retired. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and she enjoyed boating, camping, traveling and being with her family. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
