At the age of 14 years, Mary Elizabeth nee Love married John William Sawyer on 8 Aug 1853 in Ashley, Arkansas, USA. In the 1 Jun 1900 Federal Census she stated that she had had 8 children, 6 of whom were living at the time of that census. At the time of the 20 April Federal census, she stated that those 6 children were still living. Per her obituary, she was survived by 3 (three), of her daughters and 2 sons.
