Bio
Lucille A. Nelson was born September 14, 1915 to parents Nick and Anna (Lakness) Larson, and was raised by Olai and Marie Espeland. She entered into death on November 17, 2008 at Bethesda of Beresford at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 3 days. Lucille married Elden Nelson on July 31, 1936. He died in 2001. Lucille was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford where she taught Sunday School, attended Ladies Aid and Dorcas Circle Bible Study and participated in Ladies Do Days helping make quilts for missions. She entered Bethesda in 2003 where she remained until her death. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, those that raised her, her husband, one son, two sisters and one brother. Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her daughter Lois (Larry) Lounsbery; three sons: Donald, Robert (Carol) and David (Marsha) all of Beresford; 12 grandchildren: Jason (Jodi) Lounsbery, Stephanie (Scott) Ganschow; Clark (Marci) Nelson, Christopher (Robin) Nelson; Michael (Shelley) Nelson, Philip (Stacy) Nelson, Christa Lee; Chad Nelson, Adam (Michelle) Nelson, Andrea (Chris) Anderson, Ryan Nelson and Mary (Trevor) Hansen; and 17 great-grandchildren: Emma and Ellie Lounsbery, Madelyn and Joshua Ganschow; Britta and Kelsey Nelson; Siri, Mia, and Kara Nelson; Caleb and Makayla Nelson, Riley Nelson, Cody Lee; Brynn and Cooper Nelson, Denver Anderson and Adyson Hansen. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM, Friday, November 21, 2008 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Beresford, with burial at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Beresford. Visitation will be Thursday from 2PM to 8PM with family present from 7PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
