Rose Ruth Sirny Private family services for Rose Ruth Sirny, 101, of Temple were held Wednesday in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with minister David Barfield officiating. Mrs. Sirny died Tuesday, June 19, in a Bryan nursing home. She was born in Seaton to John and Anna Stasny Dukatnik. She married Frank Pechal on June 14, 1918, in Taylor. He preceded her in death in 1927. She married Joe Sirny on Oct. 29, 1940, in Temple. He preceded her in death in 1945. She was a lifelong Temple resident. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Ruth Sawyer and Irene Alfieri. Survivors are two daughters, Lily Carlson of Renton, Wash., and Mabel Lane of College Station; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
