Thanks to contributor #46936266; Sherman County Times, Thursday, May 2, 1968, Volume 91, Number 27 Services Held Today For Mrs. Sid Wichman Services for Mrs. Sidney Wichman were held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at St. Josephat’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Fishburn officiating at the Requiem Mass and the church choir singing the Mass. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery with arrangements by Steele Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Alex Dzingle, John Dzingle, Ed Bazant, Alfred Krolikowski, Carl Krolikowski and Fritz Wesierski. Vernie Wichman, wife of Sidney Wichman, died Monday, April 29, in the Omaha Methodist Hospital just a few hours after entering there for medical attention. She suffered a heart attack very unexpectedly. The daughter of Bert and Mary Lukaszewski. She was born July 3, 1892 at Farwell. She married Sidney Wichman on Sep 5, 1920 in Ashton, and they have since then lived in Loup City. She was a member of St. Josephat’s Catholic Church and Sodality Society and was active in community affairs. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Everett and his wife Florence of Page, Ariz; Maynard and his wife, Mary, of Kearney, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Frank (Anna) Smith of Monteray Park, Calif. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Orval Archie and infant daughter, Caroline Marie, her parents, six brothers and two sisters. Sodality Rosary was recited at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Family Rosary was at 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening led by Rev. Fishburn.
