Bio

VERNIE LOUIS EMBREE 65, 414 Garfield, died at 8:20 p.m. in Community Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. The son of William and Alice Hogan Embree, he was born Nov. 28, 1903, in Moberly and lived here his entire life. He was a retired employee of the Brown Shoe store company and member of the Carpenter Street Baptist Church. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father and one daughter, who died in infancy. Survivors are his wife Margaret Lucille Embree; one daughter, Mrs. Gary Ballow, Moberly; a son, Bobby Embree, and two grandsons, Kansas City; three sisters, Mrs. Alberta Fullerton, Price, Utah; Mrs. Violetta Vaninetti, Lakeside, Calif., and Mrs. Lena L. Robb, Moberly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Million and Greer Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Momberg officating. Burial will be in Sun-Set Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin tonight at 7 p.m. at Million and Greer funeral Home.
