Thanks to contributor #47226369; FORMER RESIDENT DIES Mrs. Frances Skibinski of Grand Island passed away at her home there at 7:50 Wednesday morning following a lingering illness. She formerly lived in Loup City. Mrs. Skibinski, the former Miss Frances Bowic [sic], was born in Poland, July 3, 1874, and came to this country when 12 years of age. She was married to Martin Skibinski at Farwell in 1892. To this union twelve children were born, four of whom, with the husband, preceded her in death. She leaves eight children, Mike, Amelia, Raymond, Alex, and Mrs. Minnie Bauman, all of Grand Island, Leo of Denver, Mrs. Fernelle Readon of York; and Rose, of Lafayette, Ind., also thirteen grand children and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at Loup City, Friday morning with burial in the family plot in the Loup City cemetery. The Sherman County times - Aug 31 1934
