Bio
Lorene was the daughter of Ross and Zela Milton. She married Harold D. Beck. The Abilene Reporter-News, TX April 3, 2005 Lorene O. Beck, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Tye Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Lorene was born November 22, 1919 in Brashear Co., Greenville, TX. Lorene moved to Abilene in 1933. She was employed at Underwood's Bar-B-Que for over 20 years. She enjoyed 20 wonderful years as a foster grandparent at Abilene State School. Lorene's life was centered around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Zela Milton and husbands, Marshall Abbott and Harold Beck. Survivors include three sons, Robert Abbott and wife Rose, Kenneth Abbott, and William Beck and wife Cathy; one daughter, Nancy Muzechenko and husband Ronnie; one sister, Bettie Jo Bales; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family requests that any donations be made to the Abilene State School, PO Box 451, Abilene, TX 79604.
