Snodgrass Rites Will Be Held Wednesday Funeral services for John F. Snodgrass, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Newberry Funeral Home Chapel, with J.R. Chism, minister of the Childress Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Kirkland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C.T. Thomas, Theo Bierwirth, L.V. Royall, Gene Hardin, Andy Lee Harp and Garland Collins. Mr. Snodgrass died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Veterans Hospital in Dallas. Born Jan. 23, 1898 in Denton County, Mr. Snodgrass came from Denton in 1900 to Kirkland, where he farmed most of his life. He moved to Garland from Childress two years ago. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Crouch of Garland; one son, Dolan of New Orleans, La.; one sister, Mrs. Earl Scarbrough of Childress; three brothers, E.L. of Lubbock, Earl of San Angelo, and H.A. of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
