Charles Henry Roberts, 85 of Lehi, Utah, died Feb. 22, 2002 at the Provo Hospital. Charlie was born in Lehi, the eldest of six children, to Oliver and Mable Southwick Roberts. He married Wanda Ruth Andrus, June 6, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They taught and coached in the Big Horn Basin, WY. for 38 years. Charlie graduated from Lehi High where he was very active in athletics and later was inducted into the Lehi Athletic Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the BYU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1982. Survivors include his wife of Lehi; sons and daughters, Duane (Susan) Roberts, Springville; Kurt (Jackie) Roberts, American Fork; Ruth (Jim) Dunn, Orem; Reese (Diane) Roberts, Kaysville; Maralee (Zeke) Francis, Moab; Gerald (Candy) Roberts, Bartlesville, OK; 32 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Forestier, Meridan, ID. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Helen Jacobs, Virginia Rowley, Richard (Dick), and Ralph Roberts, and a granddaughter, Danielle Roberts. Funeral, Friday, March 1, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi East Stake Center, 900 N. 1200 E., Lehi. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Church, Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Published in the Deseret News on Tuesday, February 26, 2002
