Bio

Douglas "Dougie" A. Woods died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. He was 80. Dougie worked for Aggressive Transport, Inc., driving truck for 52 years and worked in the office as safety coordinator for 10 years. He served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves and is a member of the American Legion. Dougie was preceded in death by his parents A. Earl and Bessie W. Woods; brother Don Woods and sister Barbara Severs and Bernice Kolusek. He is survived by sons Mark and Donald Woods; brother Russell and wife Carlene of Orland; sister Betty and Bernard Kalb of Story, Wy. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Odd Fellows Cemetery 3900 Road P, Orland. A memorial service will follow at noon at Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff. A reception will be held at Aggressive Transport, after the memorial service, at the intersection of Highway 36E and 99W.
