Bio

Leonard was the son of Seab and Addie Hardin Myers. Siblings were Velma, Alma Lee, and Ruth Myers. Leonard married Bessie Ann Thomas and their children were Wanda Lou and Dorothy Ann Myers. OBIT: Childress – Services for former Kirkland resident, Leonard Myers, 81, of Perryton, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Schooler-Gordon Chapel with Jack Tutor, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial was in Kirkland cemetery. Mr. Myers died Thursday in Ochiltree General Hospital. He was born December 13, 1901 in McKinney and was raised in Kirkland. He married Bessie Thomas November 22, 1922. She preceded him in death in March 1968. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Erker of Perryton; a brother, A. L. Myers of Kirkland; two sisters, Ruth Sides of Kirkland and Mrs. Velma Collins of Memphis; four grandchildren and four great-grand children.. Published February 6, 1983.
