Wife of Robert Adkins Gilmer-Services for Mrs Tenny (Valta) Adkins, 81 of Gilmer will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Duane Turner officianting. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mrs Adkins died Friday afternoon in a Gilmer hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 18, 1903, Mrs adkins was a lifetime resident of Upshur County. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Acres Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Charles of Lindale; daughters, Mrs. Hulene Womack of Fort Worth and Mrs Peggy Rawlings of Gilmer; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. - Longview News Journal
