Bio

Clara Edna Wilkerson, 87, passed away Oct. 24, 2008, in Denton, Texas. She was born in Roswell, on July 11, 1921, to Edwin and Mary Roberts, and was married on April 13, 1940, to Ernest Wilkerson. She was a longtime member of Country Club Church of Christ. She is survived by three sons, Ralph Wilkerson of Corinth, Texas, Richard Wilkerson of Oxon Hill, Md., and Russell Wilkerson of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Linda Emmons of Aurora, Oregon; two sisters, Martha Sherrick of Ft Worth, Texas, and Dorothy Wheat of Kilgore, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Edwin Roberts, Jr. A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at 11 a.m. at South Park Cemetery. The Rev. Elton Dilbeck will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory. An online guest register can be accessed at www.ballardfuneralhome.com.
