Cooper-Rosa Lee Johnson, 92, of Greenville passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at Briarcliff Health Center of Greenville. Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Tira Cemetery in Hopkins County with a grandson, David L Francis, officiating, under the direction of Delta Funeral Home of Cooper. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born March 23, 1912, in Tira community. She was the daughter of Royal Chapman and Rosa Horn Chapman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Cooper, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She married Claude R. Johnson on Sept. 9, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 14, 2001. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws. Oliver Johnson and wife, Pat, of Greenville, Jack Johnson and wife Irene, of Irving, Billy Wayne Johnson of Lake Fork and Ellis Johnson and wife, Frances, of Quinlan; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou Stephens and husband, James, of Greenville; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Tom Johnson; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
