Bio

Emogene Gotcher, 77, of Sweetwater died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, in her residence. Obituary Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, in the McCoy Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Jimmy Don Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookshire Cemetery in Tennyson. Mrs. Gotcher was born on Dec. 18, 1927, in Snyder. She married Wilburn Gotcher on July 14, 1945, in Snyder. Mrs. Gotcher was a member of the Faith Harvest Pentecostal Church in Sweetwater. She lived in Sweetwater since 1948 and was the housekeeping supervisor at the Holiday Inn and Sundown Motel for several years. Mrs. Gotcher worked at the Village Supermarket in the bakery. Survivors include one son, Wayne Gotcher of Abilene; four daughters, Deborah Wisdom and her husband, Richard, of Burleson, Carla Gotcher of Amarillo, Elyon Gotcher and her husband, Doug, and Bonita Harris and her husband, Ronald, all of Sweetwater; one step-daughter, Zandra Moore and her husband, Larry, of Texarkana; four sisters, Cleo Keller of Snyder, Juanita Richardson and her husband, Paul, of San Angelo, Lela Warren and her husband, Bubba, of Indonisia, and Sheila Vineyard and her husband, Tommy, of Odessa; three brothers, Arnold Lee Eades and his wife, Mickie, of Opealika, Ala., Calvin Eades and his wife, Joyce, of Houston, and James Warren Eades of San Angelo; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cleo Eades; her father, June Eades, on Jan. 19, 1973; her step-mother, Opal Eades, on Feb. 15, 2004; her husband, Wilburn Gotcher, on Jan. 10, 1999; and one brother, Dole Eades.
