Bio

Son of John Nicholas Albus and Mary Clara Stengel. In 1940, the family lived in Pct 7, Knox County, Texas. Children living in the home at the time included: Robert C (23), Edwin J (20), Adeline (16), Richard F (15), Charles J (12), and Mary Alice (6). There were two older sons as well, Clemmons and Vincent. Richard enlisted in the US Army December 10, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas. He served in the European Theater with Company E, 7 Infantry, until he was killed in action January 23, 1945. He was returned for reburial in 1948.
