Bio
Edison Jefferson Adair, 83. died February 2, 1969 in a Los Angeles Hospital of burns sustained when his body caught fire on January 31, I960. He was born April 12, 1886, at Showlow, Arizona, a son of Maroni M. Adair and Emeline Whipple Adair. He married Hazel Deseret Park of Kamas, Utah, on February 28, 1911. Hazel Adair died at Heber City on September 13, 1941. Mr. Adair subsequently married Alice Knell Lund of Enterprise, Utah, on April 28, 1947. Mrs. Alice Adair died March 30. 1968. Mr. Adair was a resident of Kamas, Utah and Heber from 1910 to 1968, when he moved to Los Angeles, California. Almost his entire career was spent in the United States Forestry Service. He was credited with great achievement in the range reclamation field and is held chiefly responsible for the restoration of the Wolf Creek area of the Uinta National Forest. He is survived by two children: John Dale Adair of Los Angeles and Lucy Jane Collinson of Garden City. New York and three grandchildren: John Robert Adair, Mrs. James Warjone and Jan Collinson. A second son, Ross Jay Adair was killed over Romania on April 5, 1944. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 12:00 Noon in the Heber Third Ward Chapel where friends may call Satur day after 11:30.
