McWhirter, Clara Mae WINNSBORO - Services for Clara Mae McWhirter, 88, Dallas, formerly of Winnsboro, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes, Quitman, with the Rev. Arlis Banks officiating. Burial will be in Clover Hill Cemetery. Mrs. McWhirter died Oct. 13, 2008, in Dallas. She was born Jan. 9, 1920, in Wood County. She lived most of her life in Winnsboro prior to moving to Dallas four years ago. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McWhirter. Survivors include daughters, Helen Walker, Dallas, and Brenda Hott, Mesquite; brother, Milton McWhirter, Winnsboro; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
