Contributed by belinda green evans (46925799) ============== Martha Emily Neely Green was married to James Carroll Green #30588949. She was the second of three wives. Sarah Harrison Neely, Martha Emily Neely, and Martha Tennessee Green Piper. Both Marthas are buried at Hines Chapel, also Martha Tennessee's mother Paulina Green. Contributed by Donna B (47428557)∼CPL 7 Regt Tenn Cav Civil War death certificate gives birth year of 1836, father Pleasant Green Corporal, Company F, 7th Tennessee Cavalry, enlisted for 1 year in Carroll Co, TN on 8/12/1862 & mustered at Trenton, TN on 9/24/1862. He had a dark complexion, grey eyes, black hair, a farmer. He furnished his own horse and equipment worth $105.00. He mustered out on 10/25/63 at Saulsbury, TN at the end of his 1 year enlistment. After marrying Sarah Neely in Carroll Co, TN in 1860, Green had moved near the Townsend Mill, Texas Post Office by 1890. He applied for an invalid pension in 1897. His wife, Martha T Green, applied for a widow's pension in Texas in 1925.
