Bio

[Year of death is incorrect on his grave marker. See obituary below.] The people of Starke, FL were shocked to hear of the death of Mr. Ted H. Halligan, which occured last Friday at his home in Leesburg. Mr. Halligan was cashier of the Bank of Starke for about seven years, and his many friends here regret exceedingly to hear of his untimely death. The funeral took place Monday afternoon, from the Presbyterian Church in Leesburg and was attended by hundreds of people. (Obituary from "The Bradford County Telegraph," Starke, Florida, Friday March 3, 1922, page 1.) Ted and Katherine had daughter Mildred K. Halligan, b. 17 March, 1918, who married James Edward Sparks in Alabama on 31 October, 1941. She died 6 Jun, 1980 in Escambia Co., FL, burial location unknown.
