Bio
Ralph M. Miller, 68, a native of Washington, D.C. and resident of Vernon Parish, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 6:45 p.m. His career began in the Armed Forces, followed by Civil Service as a Chief Entertainment BR, Arts and Information Specialist. Ralph was preceded in death by the love of his life, Edna W. Miller, who passed on October 21, 2007. There were no children born of Ralph and Edna's marriage. He is survived by Edna's three children, William G. Willis and wife Jennice, Rachel Pearl Slaydon and husband Chester and Nellene Wingate, all of DeRidder; one brother, Frank Miller and wife Carol; and one sister, Joyce Robinson, all of Maryland. There are 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Pastor Garrett Fuselier and Virginia Wingate will officiate.
