Bio
Oleta Hopkins of Waco, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at a local nursing home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Ernie Christie officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Oleta was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to the late Ross and Katy Noble. She was a homemaker, avid golfer, and a member of the Crestview Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hopkins. She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Shockey and husband, Ken and Gloria McDonald; son, Gary Hopkins and wife, Molly; sister, Marieta Alexander and husband, Clifton; grandchildren, Cherie Shockey, Glenn Shockey and wife, Michele, Heather McNair and husband, Rock, Holli Hopkins and her fiancé, Cody Short, Katie Morgan and husband, Kory, Ashley Hopkins, Kyle Binner and wife, Jamee, Ashley Outlaw and husband, Ryan and Seth Binner; and great-grandchildren Garrett and Brandt Shockey, Karter, Hollyn and Mabry McNair, Kash Morgan, Morgan and Maryn Binner, Jace Outlaw and Reese Binner.
