Bio

A funeral for Mrs. Lydia Catherine Brooks, 85, Athens, will be this afternoon at McConnell's Chapel. Burial will be in the City Cemetery with McConnell Service directing. Officiating ministers will be H. A. Robinson and Burl Grubb. Mrs. Brooks died Tuesday morning at the Tennessee Valley Rest Home in Flint. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. D.C. Brackeen, Athens, and Mrs. Clarence Majors, Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Petty Brooks, Huntsville, and D. B. Brooks, Madison, TN; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews. (Published Huntsville Times, Huntsville, AL, Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1963)
