*** IN LOVING MEMORY OF *** Joan D. (Jackley) Ailts was born on Wednesday; February 7, 1934 in Carroll; Carroll County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: Willey and Marie Jackley. Joan was united in marriage to Jack Ailts on Sunday; August 5, 1956. They settled in Marshalltown in 1962 where they raised a family of four sons. Joan was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She taught kindergarten at several public schools in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa until her retirement in 1996. She was able to enjoy her time with her many dear friends during her retirement and took the opportunity to travel as much as possible. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. Joan D. (Jackley) Ailts, age: 78, passed away on Wednesday; April 11, 2012 at the Dogwood Forest Assisted Living Community in Alpharetta; Fulton County, Georgia. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her sons: Scott (Kathy) of Alpharetta, Georgia; Todd (Elaine) of Tucson; Pima County, Arizona; Chris of Cottage Grove; Washington County, Minnesota; and Matt (Clare) of Rosemount; Dakota County, Minnesota. Her grandchildren: Sam & Lauren, Emily & Madison and Jack & Ellen. Her sister: Marie "Billie" (Fritz) Heinrichs of Flagstaff; Coconino County, Arizona. Her nieces: Kathy (Robert) Smith of Flagstaff, Arizona, June Jackley of Sun City; Florida, Her nephews: Mark (Janet) Heinrichs of Flagstaff, Arizona, Craig (Judy) Heinrichs, Oskaloosa, IA, Dirk (Debbie) Ailts, Grand Rapids, MI, Derek (Amy) Ailts, Columbus, OH, and sister-in-law: Lucille Jackley, Sun City Florida. Joan is preceeded in death by her husband: Jack Ailts, her parents: Willey and Marie (Potts) Jackley, her brother: James (Lucille) Jackley and her Aunt Irene "Beanie" (Mark) Crosson. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn.
