Thanks to contributor #47226369; Married 1867 in Poland Sherman Co Times, Loup City, NE, 21 Aug 1936, Friday, p.2 Mrs. Agnes Kosmicki died at the home of her son Jacob, in Ashton, Wednesday, Aug 12, after an illness of about five weeks, due to cancer. At the time of her death she was 91 years, 8 months and 16 days of age. Agnes Markiewicz was born in Poland on Dec 28, 1844. She was married to John Kosmicki in 1870. They came to America in 1880 and settled in Illinois where they resided for three years, when they came to Howard county, Nebr., and made their home on a farm five miles east of Ashton. Having retired in 1900 from the farm, for the past 36 years she has made her home in Ashton. Mrs. Kosmicki was preceded I death by her husband who died in 1912 and a daughter Maggie, who also died in 1912. She is survived by two sons, Jacob and Frank of Ashton, and one daughter, Sister M. Stanislaus of Wisconsin; also 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at nine o'clock Friday morning at the St. Francis church in Ashton, with Rev. A. Jarzemski officiating. Interment was made in the St. Francis cemetery. Contributor, Patricia #47200326
