Son of Abraham Abner Trout and Sidney Reed Trout. He married (1) Elizabeth R. Compton on 18 JUL 1868 in Wabash Co., Illinois; then (2) Nancy Jane Sing on 24 JAN 1892 in Centerton, Benton Co., Arkansas. He served in Co A, 86 Ind. Inf during the Civil War.
