Thanks to contributor #(#47466150; Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Monday, December 5, 1977. CENTRAL CITY--Maude M. McLean, 88, died Monday in a Central City hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Solt Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry C. Beatty officiating. Burial will be in Pierce Chapel Cemetery near Clarks. Mrs. McLean was born Feb. 28, 1889, in Marshall, Mo., the daughter of W. J. and Rosa Barker Hulit. She attended Marshall schools and moved to Clarks in 1910. She married Alexander McLean on April 6, 1910, in Hastings. She belonged to the Christian Science church. Survivors include a son, William of Central City; three daughters, Mildred Diettmer of Clarks, Valeta Graves of Florence, Ore., and Bonnie Smith of Salem, Ore.; a half-brother, Larry Hulit of Grand Island, 15 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a half-brother.
