ROY DALE RANKIN Dale Rankin, 66, a lifetime King County resident, passed away Sept 16, 2008 at his home FAMILY VISITATION will be from 6pm till 9pm Thursday Sept 18th at Seigler Funeral Home in Paducah FUNERAL SERVICES are scheduled for 2pm Friday Sept 19th at the Guthrie Community Center with Pastors Glendell Smith & Chris McCauley officiating. INTERMENT will follow in Guthrie Cemetery. Dale was born Nov 10, 1941 in Wellington, TX to Roy & Dena (Ham) Rankin. On June 8, 1963 Dale married Linda Pettiet at the home of his parents. This is also the home where Dale & Linda raised their family. Dale was a career independent farmer and a loving husband, father & provider. He was a member of the Dumont Baptist Church serving as a Deacon. He was also an active member of the King County Historical Society and a past president of the King County Soil & Water Conservation Board. Dale is preceded in death by his father Roy Rankin his grandmother - Meta Ham, 1 brother - Bobby Rankin & 1 sister - Sharon Davidson Dale is survived by his wife of 45 years Linda Rankin his mother - Dana Rankin of Levelland 1son Brent Rankin & his fiancé Tammy Graves of Munday 1 daughter - Selena Rankin of Quanah 2 sisters - Janice Jackson of Levelland & Patsy Miller of Wolfforth 1 brother - Gerald Rankin of Lubbock 2 grandchildren - Dylan Rankin & Lacy Rankin and numerous nieces & nephews Dale is also survived by his extended family Venita Blair of Shallowater, Bob & Elner Pettiet of Breckenridge Joe & Jean Pettiet of Guthrie along with numerous extended nieces & nephews
