Waxahachie Daily Light; Oct 26, 1938 Funeral services for Abra T. Cryer, 23, of Garrett, who died in Ennis Municipal Hospital Tuesday, were held at the Garrett Baptist Church this afternoon with the Rev. Mr. Kirkland, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Cemetery, Ennis. Active pallbearers were H. D. Scarbrough, James Lisman, R. T. Maddox, Fred Tollison, Ralph Cook and Wilbur Cook. Mr. Cryer was born in Bristol and spent his entire life in this county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Cryer; a daughter, Lennie Joan Cryer; a step-daughter, Katherine Rife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Cryer, all of Garrett; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Tice, Fort Worth; and five brothers, Ira, S. E., L.C. and William Cryer, all of Garrett; and Elvie Cryer, Boyce.
