Bio

Mrs. Sarah McDonald, after several days illness, died at ther home on route 1, Oneonta last Friday. Her death was due to paralysis. Mrs. McDonald was 71 years of age and was a member of the M. E. Church. She was the widow of the late John McDonald and belonged to the well-known Bynum family of this county. The deceased is survived by four sons, P. L. McDonald, of route 1, Oneonta; M. R. McDonald, of Cedartown, Ga.; T. E. McDonald, of Arcadia, Fla.; and L. D. McDonald, of Oneonta; four daughters, Mrs. M. P. Elgin, of route 1, Cleveland; Mrs. Ruth Bennett, of Birmingham; Mrs. Cotha Segars, of Cleveland, Tenn.; and Miss Elsie McDonald, of Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hullett, of Oneonta, and Mrs. Beckie Bullard, of route 1, Oneonta. The funeral services were held at Lebanon Saturday and were conducted by Rev. G. W. Elliott, Rev. W. N. Bowman and Rev. W. A. Murphree, with Wade in charge. (The Southern Democrat Oneonta, Alabama, April 05, 1934) Daughter of Asa and Elizabeth Bynum. Married to John A. McDonald and had a son Percy L. McDonald.
