His funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel with Rev. L.E. Mortensen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 11 miles northeast of Columbus. The body will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A farmer and lifetime resident of this community, Mr. Luckey was born May 11, 1891 to Fred and Mary (Engel) Luckey. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, and attended District 44 School and Columbus Business College. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Herman (Louise) Meyer and brother, Emil F. Luckey, both of Columbus; also a number of nieces and nephews.
