Loyd Stevens, 95, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in San Antonio. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dilbeck Cemetery, Poolville. He was born Sept. 21, 1911, to Cyrus and Mary Stevens in Peaster. He proudly served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister. He was an avid photographer which led him to his job at The Camera Shop in Fort Worth, where he worked for 40 years. His favorite hobby was his art. He was a talented artist as evidenced by his landscape paintings. He loved being with his grandsons, Taylor and Trent, and always wanted to know everything about the things they were interested in. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 71 years. He was a wonderful, loving, Christian husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. His family was the main focus in his life. Survivors: His wife, Grace Martin Stevens; daughter, Nancy Stevens Heady and husband, Duane, of San Antonio; and grandchildren, Jace Taylor Heady and Trenton Dane Heady.
