The Leesville Daily Leader Leesville, Louisiana · Thursday, May 24, 1945 Mrs. Fannie Pelt Buried May 15th Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie L. Pelt, 90, who died at her residence, in Leesville, May 15, were held at the grave side in the New cemetery, Wednesday afternoon ,at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. Pratt McCloud, officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home, of DeRidder. Mrs. Pelt, a native of Arkansas has lived in this parish for the past 75 years. She was one of Leesville's oldest citizens having lived here around fifty years. She is survived by, two daughters, Mrs. Jack Frisby, and Mrs. W. B. Smith, both of Leesville, one son, James M. Pelt, Leesville. Also 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
